This 5 hour kayaking tour commences in Bushy Park with a safety demonstration and brief on paddle techniques. We begin flowing with the gentle river current allowing plenty of time to get comfortable in your craft. Heading downstream the River Derwent offers sweeping views of the iconic Wellington Range as we pass under historic railway bridges and perhaps even see a platypus, a sea eagle or some acrobatic trout before stopping for a fresh gourmet riverside lunch by a local waterfall (a fantastic opportunity for some wild river swimming!)
After lunch, the river builds in momentum and tranquillity gives way to adventure as we encounter the first rapid at Broken Bridge, a novice slalom course popular with the local clubs and community before meeting the biggest challenge, the natural roller-coaster of the Train Bridge which is sure to get the adrenaline running!
