Description
Women's History in the Making Awards Gala is a formal event designed to recognize and celebrate girls, organizations, and community leaders contributing to the development and empowerment of the female population.
A Woman's Standard(AWS) believes we must celebrate the behavior we want to see in order to see more of it!
A Woman's Standard uses The 5 Standards Model for holistic development. These standards include:
- Personal Standards
- Emotional Standards
- Relational Standards
- Aspirational Standards
- Standards of Belief
Keeping these 5 standards in mind AWS will recognize 1 female student from each category that embodies the selected standard.
In addition to the 5 youth honorees there will be 2 community leaders and 1 organization recognized for their outstanding contribution to the development of young women.
