Women’s Health in Motion: From Menarche to Menopause (Wales 2026)
Overview
Women’s Health in Motion: From Menarche to Menopause (Wales 2026) is an action-focused, multidisciplinary symposium designed to ignite conversation, collaboration, and change. The event will bring together researchers, health professionals, policy leads, and women with lived experience to reimagine how we understand, support, and promote women’s health—through every life stage.
Across an energising half-day programme of keynote talks, interactive panels, and collaborative workshops, we’ll explore how physical activity and sport intersect with biology, behaviour, and the broader social environment—from the first period to post-menopause. Together, we’ll challenge assumptions, share lived perspectives, and identify the most pressing questions that demand answers.
What makes this event different is its commitment to co-creation: end users—women, practitioners, coaches, clinicians, and community leaders—will be central to the discussion, ensuring that the priorities identified are grounded in real experiences and practical needs.
By the end of the symposium, participants will have collectively shaped a Wales-wide roadmap for research and action, highlighting key opportunities to improve women’s health, equity, and participation through physical activity and sport.
Join us in 2026 to connect science, policy, and practice in motion—and help drive the next chapter in women’s health research and innovation.
