Professor Asher Bashiri, Maternal & Fetal Medicine, Soroka Medical Center.

Professor Asher Bashiri is the Director of the Recurrent Pregnancy Loss Service, the Director of Maternity C Ward and a senior physician in the Ultrsound and Obstetric Day Care Unit in the Maternal & Fetal Medicine division of Soroka Medical Center.

Prof.Bashiri is leading a worldwide effort to advance research in the field of recurrent miscarriage, and he is the founder and president of the World Congress of Recurrent Pregnancy Loss.

Prof. Bashiri will discuss the latest research on preventing miscarriage among women with recurrent pregnancy loss-WCRPL.

Ethel S. Siris, MD, is the Madeline C. Stabile Professor of Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center, and the Director of the Toni Stabile Osteoporosis Center of the Columbia University Medical Center, New York-Presbyterian Hospital. An endocrinologist, she works as a clinician, as a clinical investigator and as a medical educator, all in the area of metabolic bone diseases, including osteoporosis and Paget's disease of bone. Dr. Siris served as the Medical Director of NORA, the National Osteoporosis Risk Assessment, a public health initiative and longitudinal study of osteoporosis that included over 200,000 postmenopausal women in the US.

Dr. Siris will discuss topics including risk factors, prevention and treatment for osteoporosis.
