Join us as we celebrate the 100 year anniversary of International Women’s Day complete with a reception, world premiere film screening and panel!
In partnership with My Sister’s Keeper, UNA-GB is pleased to premiere Thato Mwosa’s film A TRIBE OF WOMEN. The film follows the inspiring journey of refugee women from Sudan as they come together to grow a grassroots movement, supported by My Sister's Keeper's Sisterhood for Peace initiative. Told entirely through the women’s point of view, the film illustrates the immense power Sundanese women are wielding in the struggle towards peace, reconciliation and restoration of their homeland.
The screening will then be followed by a panel discussion featuring Thato Mwosa, the filmmaker, Liz Walker, the producer of the film, Gloria White-Hammond, My Sister's Keeper's Executive Director, and Sarah Rial, My Sister's Keeper's Program Director and one of the women featured in the film.
