BackgroundWant a healthier, happier menopause and post menopausal life? How old do you feel? Find out how making smart lifestyle choices in diet and exercise can have a positive effect on ageing well. The best news is that it’s never too late to improve mental and physical wellbeing. Come along to our workshop for a fun, informative and practical session.

This workshop explores:

  • Menopause: dietary approaches to help with hot flushes, mood and energy fluctuations, bone, muscle and heart health. Physical Activity to manage menopausal symptoms, sleep changes. How to remain active and working while managing menopausal symptoms
  • Diet, exercise, lifestyle factors and risk of post menopausal breast cancer
  • Dietary approaches to life and hormonal changes
  • Skin health, muscle tone and arthritis. Managing pain and stiffness
  • Preventing cognitive decline and dementia through diet and exercise
  • Bone strength and joint pain - Diet in bone and joint health as we age
  • Eye health
  • Exercises to maintain circulation, balance, mental acuity and positive mental wellbeing

About the speakersClaire Callaghan, BPty MSc (Sport and Exercise) has been a Chartered Physiotherapist for over 20 years. She currently works in private practice. Her current and previous clientele include women of all ages and levels of physical ability, from those who are looking to be more active to Olympic medallists. Claire has a particular interest in Women's Health and Wellbeing and advises on women's health in the workplace and for women's sports groups, teams and businesses.

Sue Baic MSc RD is a registered dietitian with over 20 years’ experience in healthcare settings and in research and teaching at the University of Bristol. She is a co-author of Nutrition For Dummies and has particular interest and expertise in diet, activity and women’s health.
