Women's Build Weekend
Event Information
About this event
Women’s Build Workshop at Stonehedge
Building is for everyone and everyone should feel empowered to use power tools safely. Over the course of two days at Stonehedge, you will learn how to plan a build project (whether that be a shelf, bookcase, yoni box), determine the tools you need, set up a workspace, as well as feel comfortable using basic power tools such as a drill, circular saw, jigsaw and sander. We will mix educational sessions with hands-on activity, yoga classes, nourishing food and time in nature. We will also cover topics such as how to honor and utilize both your feminine and masculine energy while building.
Objective: Participants will leave feeling empowered to plan and build their own wood projects. Skills covered during this weekend will include how to use power tools (including a power drill, circular saw, jigsaw and sander), how to join wood and how to finish a project with natural stain.
Building Plan: We will be working in small groups to build yoni boxes (pictured below). A yoni box is a wooden box that creates a sauna like herbal steam for your yoni. Yoni steams work to detoxify and relax our wombs. In the ethos of being deliberate of what we consume, we are providing participants with the choice to take home their own yoni box or just attend the weekend to learn valuable skills. All participants will cut, joint, drill, sand and finish components of a yoni box. If you want to take home your own yoni box, please add the Yoni Box Ticket to your purchase order.
Schedule:
Day One (Optional): Friday, May 27
Participants will have the option of camping on Friday night. There will be an opening fire, where participants will have the opportunity to learn how to build a fire. We will have light snacks and refreshments, but no formal dinner will be provided.
