Description

“For such a time as this?” Esther’s Call"

Esther’s Uncle Mordecai asked her to take all the givens in her life her femininity, her insider knowledge of the habits and preferences of her tyrannical husband, her courage and faith and vulnerability and use them to broker the deliverance of the Jews from death. Esther’s words, “If I perish, I perish,” remind us of her courage as she risks all as God’s agent of deliverance for her people. “Courage” as researcher Brené Brown explains in her book Daring Greatly, “starts with showing up and letting ourselves be seen.” In our time together, we will look at the story of Esther and consider the question of what God is calling us to do “for such at time as this.”

In addition, you will meet women currently studying at Wycliffe and hear more about their personal stories of calling as well as their journey of spiritual formation.

The deadline to register for the Women's Breakfast is November 18, 2017.

Although there is no cost associated with this event, donations are welcome.
