Event Details

A network event to celebrate local and global practice in work with girls and young women.

This event gives an opportunity to hear presentations and see an exhibition as well as meet  with other practitioners who work with girls and young women (or are planning to) and want to share ideas.

It will focus on the local to global impacts and the position of women in society today.

DEP works with schools and youth and community organisations and supports global citisenship through the Millenium Development Goals (MDG) to be reached by 2015

This MDG is a long way from being reached.

The event is FREE with donations accepted to go to support local to global projects with girls and young women.

St Margarets Centre was originally purchased as a piece of land by the wife of St Margarets Vicar in the late 1800's to 'beneift the children of the parish' of St Margarets. Since its early days the Trustees and parish members worked hard to deliver the vision and provide support where it's most needed.

We provide a space for people to come together and share learning experiences that enhance and empower their daily lives.                                                              

We offer the following programmes in Manchester:

  • Projects: 
  • Love Learning Programme: 
  • One World programme: One World bookshop stocking books on various awareness campaigns such as fair trade, child labour and environmental issues affecting developing countries.
