FREE TO ALL WOMEN WHO HAVE SERVED IN THE MILITARY

As part of an ongoing outreach project, Adagio Health is offering Women Veterans in western Pennsylvania an opportunity to take part in a one-day retreat focused on health, wellness, relaxation, and healing. It’s a chance to take a day for yourself, enjoy some pampering along with a complimentary breakfast and lunch, connect with friends and fellow women veterans, and focus on heathy lifestyle choices for you and your family. We’ll also present activities tied to a theme of ‘Storytelling’—providing opportunities for those who are interested to share their experiences with other women who have served in the military. Or, you can choose to express yourself through movement, art, or quiet reflection on your own. Local and regional resources for veterans and their families will be available throughout the day. This event is open to women veterans of all ages, identities, and abilities. Please dress comfortably.

What to Expect:

• Educational workshops on health and wellness
• Purposeful storytelling for connection and healing
• Therapeutic experiences through yoga, meditation, art, and aromatherapy
• Community resources for women veterans and families of veterans
• Complimentary breakfast, lunch, and refreshments

Schedule:

• 8:30 AM: Registration and breakfast
• 9:00 AM: Program begins
• 12:00 PM: Lunch
• 4:30 PM: Wrap up

FAQs

Is the event open to ONLY women veterans?

Yes, the retreat is limited to women who have served in the military.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

The 31 and 32 buses stop two blocks north of Galbraith Mansion, and the 4 and 30 buses stop four blocks south.

Parking is available in the First Presbyterian Church of the Covenant parking lot (250 W 7th St, Erie, PA 16501). Street parking is also available near the building.

Is the building accessible?

Yes! There is a ramp into the building on the Myrtle St. side entrance. Please note that the door width is only 25.5". There is also a driveway at the church next door where you can drop off individuals closer to the side entrance (note that cars cannot remain parked in the driveway throughout the day - this is dropoff only).

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, you do not need to bring your printed ticket with you.
