Event description

Description

Do you like to talk about sex, but are worried about your friends sayings its TMI? Are you interested in discussing the good parts, bad parts, and everything in between? Do you just think sex is a fun and fascinating subject? Then order yourself a drink, pull up a chair, and join the circle. Our group welcomes all persons of all ages, orientations, experiences, and relationship styles who identify as female.

In honor of Halloween, this month's topic is "religion and sex." Did you grow up in the church, go to religious school or summer Bible camp, or belong to the church youth group? How did that affect your opinion or knowledge of sex? Were you able to compartmentalize what the preacher said versus what you and your friends actually did? Are you still carrying around those teachings? Do you actively practice a religion? There's so much to unpack and discuss!

We are meeting at Succotash, a Southern restaurant located in downtown DC, while our usual digs at the Lemon Collective are unavailable. Tickets are $8, which will cover appetizers for the group. You will purchase your drinks and any additional food you'd enjoy. We'll meet at the upstairs bar at one of the long tables.

Women Uncorked was founded by Jennifer Beman at Rhizome in Takoma. Similar groups now meet at the Lemon Collective in Petworh, Cove in Dupont, and in Baltimore. Check them out to find the best dates and location for you.
