Event description

Description

Dr. Lissa Rankin is the best-selling author of Anatomy of a Calling, The Fear Cure, and numerous other titles -- she broke new ground as a medical doctor in obstetrics (OBGYN) by turning the trauma of the medical profession into an opportunity to bring to the surface the wisdom of international traditions too often overlooked in Western medicine. She is also the founder of the Whole Health Medicine Institute.

How do you straddle the scientific, medical, and emotional forces at work in this unparalleled moment in time for women? From the rise of #Metoo to the rise of the "divine feminine," the internal and external stirring that is shaking people up needs to be processed collectively in order to transmute the trauma of suffering into the gold that is resilience, wisdom, insight, learning, and social change.

Lissa will be in conversation with The Neurodiversity Project's Jenara Nerenberg, a celebrated reporter for the UC Berkeley Greater Good Science Center and Fast Company magazine and the author of the forthcoming book, Divergent Mind.

This event will sell out and is a rare opportunity for therapists, nurses, doctors and other healers to connect with Lissa -- and of course for fans of Lissa's books who've found her work so tremendously supportive.

Opening the evening with a few practical exercises for collective healing is somatic experiencing practitioner, Kimberly Johnson, author of The Fourth Trimester.

We will be hosted in a beautiful venue with ample parking.

Reserve your tickets early.
