Weight lifting can be a tremendous tool for your overall health -- and it’s not just for men.  Lifting weights can help build a toned, sculpted, feminine body, and build stronger bones. Plus it can boost your metabolism, making you not only look great but feel great, too.  Want to learn more about strength training?  This 8-week course is for you!  You will also have the opportunity to have a pre and post fitness assesment.

Course Dates, Times, and Location

This session will run once a week from September 11th to October 3st from 5:30-6:30pm on Mondays in the SMC Campus Center at 621 W. Lombard St at URecFit.  The course entails eight 1-hour sessions.


Course Fee

$50 - For UM Students & URecFit Members,

$100 -Non-Members including UM Staff, UMMC Staff, & UM Affiliates. Non-Members have to be eligible for membership and affliated with the University.  This fee includes use of URecFit's facilities the day the class occurs (Tuesday) and is not a membership.


A miniumum number of 5 people must sign up for the program to take place.


Class Registration

  • Complete the registration process.  Please select the appropriate ticket (Member vs. Non-Member) 
  • You will receive a ticket via email.  Please bring this to the first class.
