Sat, October 28, 2017, 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM EDT
Women of Virtue Transitional Foundation is hosting the organization's 2nd Annual Brunch & Fundraiser on October 28, 2017. The theme is Purple Orchids, Survivors & Thrivers, a Domestic Violence Awareness & Prevention event. The event will place emphasis on the various resources utilized to educate, empower, and encourage domestic violence survivors and their families.
The organization was established to end violent crimes of intimate partners and to empower victims through mentoring/coaching, public speaking and education, and comprehensive support services. We seek to create and nurture partnerships with like organizations to cohesively fulfill our overall goals: to end domestic violence, serve and support victims and their children, and encourage healing. Through these programs and services alongside community collaboration, it works to assist domestic violence victims with their transitions back into society as self-sufficient survivors.
This year the organization is recognizing Purple Orchids as a symbolic representation of the event. This specific flower signifies royalty, respect, admiration, and dignity which are key attributes associated with the organization's mission and purpose.
