Description

Did you know that November is National Novel Writing Month (NANOWRIMO)?!

What exactly is National Novel Writing Month? So glad you asked, my aspiring novel writing friend!

National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to creative writing.

On November 1, participants begin working towards the goal of writing a 50,000-word novel by 11:59 PM on November 30.

Valuing enthusiasm, determination, and a deadline, NaNoWriMo is for anyone who has ever thought about writing a novel. You can find out more about NANOWRIMO here, but essentially...

There are only three rules:

  • You can’t start writing your novel until November 1.

  • Leave your perfectionism at the door! All words count. Even the sucky ones.

  • You must have written 50,000 words by the time the clock strikes midnight on November 30!

Are you crazy enough to take on the challenge of writing an entire 50,000 word novel in one month? If so, join the women of Zora’s Daughters on Wednesday, Nov 1 for a two hour NANOWRIMO after-work kick off and writing circle. There will be drinks, snacks, an epic novel brainstorming session, and a sprint to write your first 500 words!

All you need to bring is yourself, something to write with (a notebook, laptop, even your smart phone), and a semblance of an idea for your novel. We’ll take care of the rest!
