Join Women in Wireless New York on Friday October 16th from 8am - 10am at the IAB for a networking breakfast followed by a keynote and in-depth discussion on innovations in mCommerce with representatives from MasterCard, Qualia, Spring, the IAB, Scanbuy and Curalate.
What is mCommerce?
Coined in 1997, mobile commerce was defined as “the delivery of electronic commerce capabilities directly into the consumer's hand, anywhere, via wireless technology”. Today, consumers demand innovative mCommerce solutions in their moment of need, within their context, while respecting privacy. Advertisers, mobile payment providers, brands and retailers have responded to these demands, enabling consumers to confidently make purchases on mobile. By 2015, the industry is poised to generate over $115 billion in sales. By 2020, 50% of US retail e-commerce dollars are forecasted to be earned on mobile phones and tablets.**
