Event Details

JOIN US for the GBWF's 6th annual summer evening event: Women in Wind Soirée.

We have a lot of new exhibitors!

Hosted in partnership with the Lake Champlain Community Sailing Center, our 6th year offers on-the-water recreation and a "mini expo" of local recreational and educational organizations, including biking, hiking, climbing and more.

Join us to…

  • Cruise around Burlington Bay aboard a sailboat, Dragon boat, paddleboard, canoe, or kayak;
  • Roll out your mat (please bring your own) for some summer yoga;
  • Learn about local groups helping our community get outside and recreate this summer;
  • Make connections by the waterfront over light fare & beverages.

Snacks, drinks, activities, and networking will take place from 5:15 to 7:30 pm on Thursday, July 18 at the Community Sailing Center, 505 Lake St., Burlington, VT 05401.

The Greater Burlington Women’s Forum is committed to facilitating inspiring, informative opportunities for women to connect.  In that spirit, please bring a friend (or two!) for our summer fundraiser on Thursday evening, July 18th at the Burlington waterfront.

Save time at the dock - register today! This is one of our most popular events. $10 to $20 slide your own scale.

Event Details:

  • On-water activities will take place in two sessions: 5:30-6:10 pm & 6:15-6:55 pm.
  • Arrive at 5:15 & 6 to sign up – first come, first served. Lots of boats and paddleboards will be available!
  • This event is rain or shine. If weather prevents us from getting on the water, activities & refreshments will be held inside the beautiful Community Sailing Center.
  • Prepare for the weather & activities with comfy clothes/swimwear.
  • Bike, walk, or carpool, if possible! Biking is easy via the bike path. Metered public parking is near the skate park lot along Lake St., or at the bottom of College Street.
  • No need to print out your ticket.
  • Look for the event posting on Facebook to find out the latest updates.
