Dr. Karen Jobes -- Walking in the Truth:

 Studies in John's Letters

The New Testament books known as 1, 2, and 3 John were written during troubling times for a divided church. John presents three inter-related topics in his writings: the truth about Christ, the truth about sin, and the truth about love. Overarching is the important message about where spiritual authority lies in a world in which competing voices contend for the truth. As relevant today as when they were written, John’s letters also raise some intriguing questions. Will everyone be saved? Is there sinless perfection during the lifetime of a believer? What about the sin that leads to death? Join us as we discuss the truth about Christ, about sin, and about love as John directs us to the reliable source of spiritual authority.

Study Groups do just that: study the Bible together!  Each Study Group, consisting of 6 registrants and a leader, focuses on a specific book of the Bible.   As they participate in guided discussions of that book, group members develop better skills for "rightly handling the word of truth." [2 Tim. 2:15]

Each woman brings her preparation and participation as an offering to the Lord and a gift to the others!

***There are two track options for Study Groups.  Read the below carefully to see which track is better suited for your particular needs and goals! ***

Teacher Track

At the Workshop, you present that very short, abridged lesson to your group. Your leader guides a discussion of its content as you explore the richness of the Biblical text together.

   Personal Study Track

…is for those who want to refine their existing Bible study skills and develop new ones.

At home you study your assigned passage and identify a central idea in your text. Specific steps to help you are in the Preparation Materials. At the Workshop, you give a 5-minute explanation of your work to your group. Your leader guides a discussion of your central idea as you explore the richness of the Biblical text together.
