Event Details

Women in Tech: She++ Screening
Thursday, May 16th 6:00pm-8:00pm

Drinks and apps will be served.

In 2010, only 15% of computer science majors were females and 50% of girls felt that STEM was not a career path for women. These statistics inspired a few Standford Unviersity students to produce a short film that explores the topic of women in tech. The documentary is meant to help girls feel less intimidated by coding.

Please join us on Thursday May 16th for an exclusive screening of this documentary. Following the viewing, there will be food, drinks, discussion around this particular topic and a panel of female engineers.

Schedule:

6:00-6:15 Check in, food and drinks

6:15-7:00 Organizations that support women in tech (DIY Girls, WITI, Girls in Tech LA, USC School of Engineering)

7:00-7:15 She++
