Why aren’t there more women in tech sales?

For many of us when we think about sales, images and stereotypes come to mind like the pushy “used car sales” person. However, the profession of sales has evolved. Sales is critical to any organization and these skills can create rewarding career pathways to critical roles like CEO, especially for women.

What are the common characteristics of today’s most successful sales people?

  • Relationship builder;
  • Foster trust;
  • Good listener;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Build consensus;
  • High emotional intelligence and
  • Problem solving, just to name a few.

According to studies, and because they demonstrate many of these attributes, women excel and outperform in sales roles. Studies also show that hiring more women in tech sales is good for business - companies who have a larger proportion of female sales reps achieve exponential revenue results.

Yet there is a huge gap in our organizations - only 19% of roles in tech sales are held by women. We need more women in tech sales!

This 3 week course might just be what you need to fast track your career!

The Revenue U has created a three (3) week women only ‘boot camp’ for new grads, Founders and/or professionals looking to transition their careers into technology sales.

Starting on June 11, 2018 you’ll be trained on the art and science of sales from developing a value proposition to rejection handling to forecasting and closing deals, receive one-to-one coaching with industry experts and mentors and gain exclusive access to tech companies hiring sales people just like you!

What’s in it for you?

Proven Curriculum. Based in real world situations, our curriculum provides students with practical tools to be successful in sales. We have taken knowledge from industry leaders and thinkers and condensed it into this three week program. 90% of students get jobs within 60 days of graduating!

Mentorship & Networking. This is an opportunity to meet leaders and coaches in sales who want to help you grow in your career. The bootcamp ends with a networking mixer and recruiting event where you will meet company executives looking to add female talent to their teams.

One-on-One Support. The exclusive program is designed so each of the 20 students receive the support, resources and tools they need to get the most out of the course. There will be lots of hands-on learning opportunities and lifelong relationships forged.

Career Opportunities. We want to help you launch your career in sales. We will give you the opportunity to build relationships with leaders and executives of awesome companies looking to hire in their sales department. With resume and interview coaching from our partners TalentMinded and an exclusive recruiting fair including our sponsoring companies, we are setting you up to find your perfect fit in the sales workforce.

Is this course right for you?

New to Sales. We are looking for recent grads or women looking to move their career into sales. Sales may include business development, customer success and channel partnership sales roles.

Open to Learning. Sales is both an art and a science. We want to work with women who are open to new possibilities and who can take what they learn in the classroom and apply it in their careers.

You Want to Work in Tech - You don't just want any job. You want to find a rewarding career in a role that has purpose. A role that helps companies solve problems, brings new technology to market or makes people's lives more productive.
