You are cordially invited to join us for the 2nd annual Women in Production & Processing Leadership Network Event during IPPE at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA on February 1, 2017! This networking reception is a complimentary and exclusive invitation-only event with a purpose of connecting women for leadership development opportunities and networking in the unique environment of animal production and processing.
This year's featured keynote speaker is Alice Johnson, DVM, the Senior vice president of food safety, regulatory and animal well-being for Butterball, LLC! Johnson’s role encompasses multiple responsibilities, including the development, implementation and oversight of food safety, quality and animal well-being. In addition, since joining the company in 2006, Johnson has worked alongside federal and state regulatory agencies to implement and manage government regulations within the company.
Before her work with Butterball, Johnson served as president and CEO of the National Turkey Federation. She has also held multiple leadership positions with organizations like National Food Processors Association and the American Meat Institute. Johnson earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Pfeiffer College and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tuskegee Institute.
To provide for an optimal time which fits your busy schedule, this year's event will be an afternoon reception with an increased focus on networking and engaging with your fellow attendees.
Audience research confirms that women are eager to network, share success stories, learn about market trends and develop leadership skills for advancement in the dynamic, global agribusiness industry.
We are looking forward to seeing you on Wednesday, February 1. Please note that to access Room B402, guests are required to wear their IPPE name badge.
