Event description

Description

Are you a woman working on high tech products? If so, congratulations -- you are an important piece of an abysmal figure: A mere 20% of high tech jobs are held by women. As Product folks, we know what this means: Right or wrong, every decision about our environment and organization is tailored around the majority (the 80% male) and often doesn't include considerations or support for helping women get ahead -- so you've got to roll up your sleeves and make it work.

Join us on Thursday, October 18, 2018 in NPR's beautiful DC offices for a conversation about thriving in male-dominated environments without compromise. The conversation will be led by Executive Director, Donna Roy, a powerhouse with extensive experience crushing it when all odds were stacked against her -- from her start in the Marines through the startup world to the top of a huge organization (AKA the US Government), Donna has mastered how to run the room, regardless of who is in it.

As always, we'll begin at 6:30pm with some friendly networking over pizza and LaCroix, and then begin the conversation promptly at 7pm.

We look forward to seeing you all there, and if you have any questions in the meantime, please reach out to us at WomenProductDC@gmail.com.

Keep on shipping,

Stephanie & Julie
