Why do parts of your role come naturally while others are a challenge? Why do some weeks fly by with energy to spare, while others leave you drained by Tuesday? It’s not (only) about skills, it’s about motivators. Leveraging the Predictive Index (PI) assessment tool, this fast-moving, highly personalized presentation provides immediately applicable insights to increase your satisfaction as a marketer, your effectiveness as a team member, and your value to internal and external clients.

Track 2-

Mastering the Networking Tango

*This break out session will run from 1:30pm – 2:15pm

While networking may or may not be a part of your routine, it continues to be the single most effective employment tool. In the past five years, more employees obtained new employment through traditional networking than any other method, including internet job boards and staffing agencies. In fact, Matt Youngquist, President of Career Horizons, asserts that 70-80% of jobs are not posted online; yet most people spend the bulk of their time searching the internet.

Effective networking creates opportunities and develops business, but is often seen as a daunting task. With limited time and competing obligations, where does one even begin? This session will take the anxiety out of networking and give participants tools, tips and strategies to maximize each networking opportunity through authentic connections. Gain the skills and confidence to be your own best advocate and become a networking champion.
