About this Event
As part of the 2020 Stanford University Women in Data Science( WIDS) conference, we are proud to host the regional event in Sydney on March 6th 2020 to celebrate the women of data science in Sydney. All genders are invited to attend this event, which features outstanding women doing outstanding work. Speakers include industry leaders, data scientists, data consultants and analytic professionals.
The Global Women in Data Science (WiDS) Conference (https://www.widsconference.org/) is held every year at Stanford University featuring inspiring keynote speakers, technical talks and networking opportunities for all attendees.
WiDS Sydney is an independent event organized by Associate Professor Theresa Anderson, Vaishali Vijay, Wendy Wong, Fiona Milne, Naomi Hamilton-Hakim and Lorraine Longato to coincide with the annual Global Women in Data Science (WiDS) Conference held at Stanford University and an estimated 150+ locations worldwide.

WiDS Datathon
The Women in Data Science (WiDS) Datathon is open from 13 January to 24 February and is hosted on Kaggle.
You may form teams and we will be announcing the winners with Datathon prizes at the Women in Data Science Sydney Conference on 6 March at the Sydney Microsoft Reactor Hub.
