Description

The Women in Data Science (WiDS) Conference (https://www.widsconference.org/) is held every year at Stanford University featuring keynotes, several technical vision talks, lunchtime panel, and multiple opportunities to network with other attendees.


Join us for the regional WIDS event in Vancouver, from 8AM to 5PM on March 4, 2019, and listen to 8 fantastic speakers sharing new trends, good practice that they observed and their experience in the Data Science field.

8:00 - 9:45am (optional): Speed networking and live streaming from Stanford

9:45 - 10am: Opening Remarks

10 - 11am: Talks from 4 guest speakers followed by 5 minutes Q&A

11 - 12am: Panel with guest speakers

12:00 - 2pm: Lunch and networking with SPEAKERS and RECRUITERS

2:00 - 3:00pm:Talks from 4 guest speakers followed by 5 minutes Q&A

3:00 - 4:00pm: Panel with guest speakers

4:00-4:15pm: Closing remark

4:15-5:00pm: Networking with SPEAKERS and RECRUITERS


RECRUITERS don't need to be at the event at all time.

The Global Women in Data Science (WiDS) Conference aims to inspire and educate data scientists worldwide, regardless of gender, and support women in the field. This annual one-day technical conference provides an opportunity to hear about the latest data science-related research and applications in a broad set of domains. All genders are invited to participate in the conference, which features exclusively female speakers.
