Deborah Merrill-Sands
Dr. Merrill-Sands is an authority on women and leadership and gender dynamics in the workplace. As Dean of the Lokey Graduate School of Business and professor of business practice, she has broadened her focus to also include the areas of social responsible business and sustainability. Prior to joining Mills, Dr. Merrill-Sands served as Dean of the School of Management at Simmons College in Boston for six years as well as Associate Dean leading the Center for Gender Organizations, executive education, and institutional relations. Prior to joining the academy, she worked as a consultant and researcher in international development for 15 years. Deborah received her MA and PhD in applied anthropology from Cornell University, and her BA from Hampshire College.
