Event description

Description

In today’s world of information overload, facts and data alone fall short.

Stories are a powerful delivery tool for information -
one that can have an emotional impact and make a strong impression. We’re hardwired to be drawn to them and learn from them.

When a speaker connects business content to a narrative that is colorful, personal and relevant, something magical happens: the story mobilizes an audience to action. Whatever the aim is, storytelling is an essential tool for every leader.

In this interactive, 90-minute session, participants will explore what makes for a compelling story in a business setting, discuss an effective narrative structure, practice writing and sharing stories in a way that fosters the speaker-audience connection and come to understand how to tap their audiences’ imagination.

Speaker:
Lindy Amos is an executive development consultant and communications specialist. For more than fifteen years she has collaborated with senior-level individuals and teams globally, developing their communications and leadership abilities to maximize their impact. Lindy has experience in a broad range of sectors from financial services to publishing, with clients including Bertelsmann, The Boston Consulting Group, The Carlyle Group, Corporate Executive Board, Dun & Bradstreet, Elsevier, HSBC, International Institute for Management Development (IMD), Merrill Lynch, and UBS.
