Description

The 2017 WALC will be hosted May 30 thru June 1, in Las Cruces, NM. This year’s conference will be the 12th biennial with 200 attendees expected. This year theme will be WALCing into the Future. We will celebrate the fire agriculture women have while honoring the grace only women hold. We’ll come together to forge partnerships and develop innovative ideas to the conference will provide participants with awareness, enthusiasm, leadership, education, and networking opportunities.

Diamond in the Rough Award

The Diamond in the Rough award was created to recognize an outstanding woman in New Mexico agriculture and highlight her efforts and contributions. Initiated by the Women in Agriculture Leadership Conference and its various sponsors, the award is given at a special awards ceremony at the Women In Agriculture Leadership Conferences. All Nominees will be recognized and the recipient will be given a beautiful commemorative plaque. Please help us recognize the women who work to make agriculture better, by nominating a deserving woman! She can be a farmer, educator, rancher, volunteer; or anyone dedicated to agriculture. 8:30am – 10:00am Meet the Players- Participants will have a networking session in which they will have the opportunity to visit with women who represent various fields of agriculture. Learn about the vision of these influential women and the steps they took to accomplish their goals.
