Climate change is not gender-neutral 🌪️ It has a disproportionately higher impact on women and girls as a result of existing gender inequalities and power structures across the globe.

🔔 Join three young female experts for a live discussion during the EU Green Week:

🗓️ Monday, June 6, 2023

🕖 6 pm (6-7 pm CET)

💻 online

🎙️Meet the talk co-hosts:

Alexandra Kick, co-founder of Thinkubator, a think tank focused on circular economy, with a background in socioeconomics and international business

Chloe Brimicombe, a Climate Scientist and Post-Doc at the Wegener Center, University of Graz on the HIGH horizons project investigating heat impacts on maternal, newborn and child health in the EU and Africa

Victoria Yavorskaya, a PhD researcher in environmental science at University of Graz and an active member of oikos, a student organization for sustainability and responsible leadership

We prepared some information based on scientific evidence. We will not only critically discuss what gender-specific risks climate crisis imposes on women and girls, but also how gender equality can become one of the solutions.
