Are you a catalyst for change? Join Womanly Words: Poetry with a Female Perspective™, in cooperation with 100 Thousand Poets for Change, in promoting change within ourselves and others through poetry, spoken word and dance!
Womanly Words: Poetry with a Female Perspective™, launched by host poet, Sylvia Green Chatman, is a poetry and spoken word gathering featuring a dozen or so female poets and dancers from the Greater Baton Rouge, Louisiana and the surrounding areas. These women gather to express creatively their thoughts and feelings on a variety of topics by reading and reciting their original writings.
The featured poets/spoken word artists range in age from late teens to 50 plus and in experience from new to veteran, but all prove highly skilled in their craft. Some even have already published books and spoken word CD albums. These ladies provide an engaging, enriching, and entertaining experience for the audience. Being in their presence will change your outlook about poetry/spoken word as well as many other issues. Come one! Come all! Answer the call! Come out and see for yourself!
