About this event

As our primary fundraising event, each year, we recognize a dynamic woman from Bonita Springs – Estero, who is well known for her philanthropic and service contributions to improve the local community. Former recipient have all played key leadership roles in local charitable organizations and foundations or may have worked tirelessly on women’s issues that represent the heart of the club’s mission: to improve the circumstances of women at all stages of life both locally and globally.

Along with dinner and presentation of the Woman of the Year award, there will be $1,000 drawing (tickets can be purchased prior to event), basket auctions, a live desert auction and a cash call.

The funds are used to provide competitive grants to local organizations who best serve women, to provide scholarships to deserving local students, to support our numerous service projects, and educational opportunities for our members so they can better serve our community.

Zonta Club of Bonita Springs - Estero

Zonta Club of Bonita Springs – Estero, Inc. was chartered in July 1994 and is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. The local club of women in our community joins others to work tirelessly to empower women worldwide. Zonta International seeks to improve the legal, political, economic, educational, health and professional status of women through service and advocacy.

We are part of six Zonta clubs in Area 6 – Sarasota, Punta Gorda-Port Charlotte Area, Sanibel Island-Captiva, Ft. Myers, Bonita Springs, Estero, and Naples. Annually, we join forces for an educational meeting to focus on Zonta initiatives and share ideas. We also host an Inter-City Dinner to encourage and promote fellowship among our clubs.

Zonta International is divided into 31 districts worldwide. We are in District 11, which has 41 clubs throughout Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, and the British Virgin Islands.

Meetings are held at the Bonita Springs Chamber of Commerce, 25071 Chamber of Commerce Drive, Bonita Springs FL 34135.
