DAY ONE- WMS Foundations Course- (WODMedic Movement Systems) WMS Foundations is just that, a course that teaches coaches the foundational knowledge needed to excel as a movement based fitness expert. This course dives in to the science and art of assessing athletes and improving movement through a systematic framework to ensure success. Learn the:

  1. Essential WODMedic On Ramp Mobility Assessment
  2. Hip Hinge Assessment
  3. Overhead Squat Assessment
  4. Overhead Press Assessment
  5. and MUCH more!


DAY TWO- WMS Rx Course- WMS Rx builds on the knowledge of our foundations course, by working through corrective strategies for each joint. Creating lasting functional improvement takes more than just cranking restricted areas and forcing new range of motion. Our Rx course teaches you how to harness the power of the brain to create lasting results for your athletes.

The neuroscience of stretching has helped bring mobility beyond the days of just cranking on joints with bands, and aggressive rolling. Our RX course will teach you how!

DAY ONE (COACHES ONLY)

Lecture

-Background of Movement

-Mobility vs. Stability

-Athlete categorization based on fitness/movement

10-11am-

-Science of Stretching and Mobility

-Moving beyond traditional mobility

Break (15 minutes)

11:15-12:30-

-On Ramp Mobility Assessment

-Overview of the “How To and Why” of 10 On Ramp Assessments

LUNCH (12:30-1)

1-3pm-

-Hands on Workshop (learning HOW to do assessments)

1. Ankle Dorsiflexion

2. Hip Flexion

3. Hip Extension

4. Thoracic Rotation

5. Shoulder Rotation

6. Shoulder Flexion

Break (15 minutes)

3:15-5pm-

-Hands on Workshop continued

7. Wrist Extension

8. Pelvic Tilt
