1:00-2:00 - NACE Webinar - Applicant Tracking Systems: What Career Advisors Need to Know
As most career counselors know, over 90% of large employers use Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to track applicants and resumes and manage the entire recruitment process. However, a large quantity of outdated and incorrect information still circulates about ATSs and how they work.
The presenters have conducted in-depth research and contacted ATS vendors, the vendors of resume parsing software which analyzes the data contained in resumes, and many recruiters who have used multiple ATS systems. They performed extensive fact-checking about advice career professionals provide students about ways to ATS-optimize their resumes. This webinar will explore the basics of how ATSs work, view screen shots of multiple software vendors, teach the basics of Boolean search strings and how recruiters use them, uncover emerging industry trends, and illustrate whether the formatting advice you have been offering students is still correct.
