2013 Annual Tribal Transportation Conference Registration Information
The Annual Tribal Transportation Conference provides an outstanding opportunity for tribal, state, local, and federal professionals to increase their knowledge of the government-to-government relationship between the 11 tribes of Wisconsin and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT).
The conference will include sessions on current WisDOT tribal initiatives and provide opportunities for exchanging ideas, networking, and building new relationships to enhance services and address tribal transportation concerns.
Who should attend?
- Tribal government representatives who work in planning, roads, natural resources, real estate, cultural resources/historic preservation, economic development;
- Construction industry representatives, business owners, and consultants - prime contractors;
- DBE firms and business owners considering WisDOT contracting;
- WisDOT staff (environmental coordinators, project managers, realty, designers, safety, labor/business);
- And other organizations and agencies that work in the transportation/construction industry.

Conference registration fee: $70
The registration fee includes all meals per participant.
Vendor/exhibitor registration fee: $105
The vendor/exhibitor fee includes two six foot skirted tables and one chair. An additional charge of $50 will apply for electricity. Registration fee includes full participation in the conference including meals for one person.

Special Afternoon Workshop Session: Thursday, December 19, 2013: Michigan Tribal Technical Assistance Program (MTTAP) will be hosting a free half day training from 1:30 - 4:00 pm on Thursday, December 19 as a special offering for conference participants. This session is geared towards the development of safety plans and how to apply and obtain Tribal Transportation Program (TTP) safety funds under MAP-21.
A block of rooms is being held at the following hotel location at the state rate of $70 per night until December 2, 2013 under “2344”. Check in time is 4:00 pm and check out 11:00 am.

Ho-Chunk Community Activity Description: The Ho-Chunk Nation Tribal Historic Preservation office will lead a community tour to visit three traditional cultural properties that reflect the beneficial outcomes that came from WisDOT and tribal coordination and partnership. The three sites include Kingsley Bend, Man Mound and Traditional Garden Beds.
Transportation will be provided.
