Event Details

The WIOA Youth Career Pathways Notice of Funding Opportunity focuses on the development of career pathways for opportunity youth that intentionally integrate workforce, education, and economic development services, that break down barriers to accessing job-driven training resulting in employment opportunities, and that assist in the effective and efficient implementation of WIOA regulations within Illinois’ economic development regions.

Applicants for the WIOA Youth Career Pathways must plan to attend one of the 4 technical assistance session in locations around the state and commit to attend with cross-sector partners where possible.

WIOA Youth Career Pathways 2017 Locations:

  • December 1, 2016 - Springfield, IL 1:30 - 4:00 PM: Illinois State Library, 300 South 2nd Street
    • All visitors must show a valid driver’s license or photo ID to obtain entry into the building. Public access to the Illinois State Library is through the first floor north door only (Monroe Street entrance). All persons entering the building are required to walk through a metal detector and have bags and other personal items passed through an x-ray machine.
      Metered parking is available on most downtown streets, including on Monroe Street and Capitol Avenue (a majority of the metered parking is a limit of 2 hours). Limited free parking is also available at the Capitol Complex Visitors Center located at 425 South College Street. The State Library has three free handicapped spaces available. Other public parking garages and lots are identified on the Springfield Visitors Map.

  • December 6, 2016 - Chicago, IL 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM: Hyatt Regency McCormick Place, 2233 S. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive

  • December 9, 2016 - Lisle, IL 1:30 - 4:00 PM:worknet DuPage, 2525 Cabot Dr., Suite 105
