Winter Workshop and Wrapping Exchange at NOMA
Sat, Dec 3, 2016, 11:00 AM – Fri, Dec 23, 2016, 7:00 PM GMT
Join Makers Dozen and NOMA for the Winter Workshop, where you'll be able to make a selection of different gifts under the guidance of an experienced designer maker!
Everything can be personalised along the way, so you can create a truly bespoke item.
The gift selection will change on a regular basis but will include:
BOAT - make a working, floating boat from a wide selection of English hardwood components for your gull, keel, cabin, master and sail. Remember to think of a name!
JOURNAL - create a journal using traditional book binding skills.
CANDLE - an exploration in scent and colour, you'll dip wick into wax to create a classic double dipped candle with your individual mark.
Struggling with a tricky shaped present? Made something at the Winter Workshop and want some bespoke paper to match your handmade gift? Want to explore different wrapping paper designs?
The Wrapping Exchange at Sadler's Yard is the perfect place for you! With paper provided by local paper mechant GF Smith, it's Manchester's go to place for unique wrapping designs, giving your Christmas a creative edge.
The Wrapping Exchange gratefully accepts donations in exchange for activity, all of which will be donated to a local charity.
There's no need to RSVP - just come along!
Both the Winter Workshop and Wrapping Exchange will open daily 11am - 7pm at Sadler's Yard.
