Saturday, February 4th & Sunday, February 5, 2017
A group of women arrive happy to spend a weekend engaged in finding our strength and power. As we do so we build community,we learn and heal, we laugh or cry, we engage and get down to living the way we long to. We're here to cherish our spirits, nurture our bodies, open our hearts, and share what's alive in us in a safe and supportive environment.
Calling all women who love NVC, or are new to learning NVC, to join us at this annual weekend of reflection and connection. We envision a restorative retreat with writing, song, and play woven with the threads of NVC.
This is, truly, always a delightful event, with huge satisfaction from all of us. Feel free to plan to bring a sister, mother, daughter, and/or friend for exponential satisfaction. If you want more fun, more honesty and more compassion, bring it on and welcome the new year with an exquisite women's weekend.
Change in form this year: Many of you know this as a residential retreat, most often held at Mt Madonna, but they didn't have dates or spaces that worked for us this year, so I'm opting to keep the flavor and hold space as non-residential instead (drastically lowering the cost, increasing flexibility and allowing for folks to craft an experience that works for their sensibilities and pocketbooks.)
Lodging and options: Some of you who attend live in town, and some of those may be willing to have homestay options for out of towners (please let us know if you do, and what you situations and preferences are.) Others of you may be happy to have a referral to some of the many lodging options in this gorgeous community in a beach side hotel or an affordable hostel. However you choose to do this, I encourage you to ask for referral early in the game for your best options.
Timing and flexibility: Of course, since this is NVC, you get to choose which sessions to attend, and how to meet your own needs. The schedule below is my best plan for meeting our needs collectively,, as a community. While we encourage choices for self care, we do hold a strong threshold to have everyone attend the full and 1st session, and do ask for participants to tell us if they know when they will be attending.
Saturday : Arrive at 9:15 to be ready for (1st/opening session 9:30-12:30), lunch break 12:30-2, (2nd session 2-5), dinner break 5-7, (3rd session 7-9)
Sunday : Arrive at 9:45 to be ready for (4th session 10-1), lunch break 1-2:30, (5th/closing session 2:30-4:30).
