Enjoy a hike on The Boulders Blue Trail while you get to know trees up close and personal. In this program, we will learn about techniques to help identify trees in the winter and discuss some of the adaptations that trees have to weather the season’s harsh conditions.
Difficulty: Moderate (slight elevation change), 2.8 miles round-trip
What to Bring: Please bring water, wear sturdy footwear and wear layers. Consider snowshoes or microspikes depending on the weather. BNRC has a few pairs of both to loan if needed.

The parking area is to the left of the house at this address: 1051 Dalton Ave, Pittsfield, MA 01201 and across from Hubbard Avenue. There is a stone staircase and informational kiosk entering the south access to The Boulders Reserve.
