It’s the shortest day of the year – the Winter Solstice.

Smack-dab in the middle of the busy holiday season. Parties, shopping, travel . . . so many things to do! It’s exhausting.

Pamper yourself with a delicious time-out; a pause to rest in the quietude of winter.

Enjoy a restorative, rejuvenating, deeply relaxing session of yoga nidra.

Yoga nidra is a guided, multi-stage relaxation/meditation practice that takes to you that sweet spot between wakefulness and sleep – the alpha state (a slow brain-wave state). Here you can hover near the subconscious and listen more closely to your wise inner voice.

In this event, we'll take time to:

  • move the body and breathe a bit
  • then settle into the guided yoga nidra practice (usually practiced while lying on your back, but any position will work)
  • we’ll emerge and sit in simple meditation
  • then we’ll take time to write and discuss

You’ll need:

  • A quiet place where you won’t be interrupted
  • Comfy clothing in layers to adjust for body temp fluctuations
  • Space to lie down, usually on the floor, but a couch, recliner or bed will do
  • Supportive props like blankets and pillows
  • A journal/paper and pen

Bring a friend – it’s cheaper and makes a great holiday gift!
