Event description

Description

During the shortest day of the year, we are surrounded by darkness. As a culture that sometimes forgets the importance of slowing down, going inward, and recognizing the beauty and wisdom that can emerge from the dark places, we invite you to join us as we gather as a group to remember what our ancestors knew about the power of celebrating the Winter Solstice. We will honor the cycles of the seasons, ourselves and our journey as we set aside this time for self-reflection and intention setting, not only for ourselves, but for the benefit of others and the world.

Jenny Harrow, a certified Nature Therapy Guide, and Erin Caitlin Sweeney, an ancestral healing practitioner, will co-facilitate this two-hour walk throughout the old-growth redwood forest known as the Grove Of The Old Trees in Occidental, CA.

Forest bathing is a slow, mindfulness-based walk in nature. This practice that has become a staple in preventative medicine in Japan is an opportunity to slow down, to awaken all of your senses, and to move with intention through the forest. You will be guided to move in harmony with the natural world, to remember your innate connection to the earth and the practices of your ancestors, and to move into this next season with purpose and clarity.

Space is limited so we invite you to secure your space. We'd love to hear from you if you have any questions!
