Event description

Description

In December, at the very darkest time of the year, we head towards the Winter Solstice when new light is born out of the womb of winter. ‘Solstice’ means ‘standstill,’ and refers to the three days around December 21st when the sun appears to ‘stand still,’ or rise and set in the same place. During these long, cold nights, Earth’s very breath seems to falter in the face of the overpowering dark. Then, imperceptibly at first, the sun begins its long journey towards the south, and all of creation begins to exhale.

On Saturday, December 22, we will celebrate this sacred time of the year with ceremony, song and meditation. Solstice is a potent vortex that allows us to review our accomplishments and set intentions for what we would like to achieve in the coming year. We will be guiding you through a transformative ceremony to guide you through a process of reclaiming your power and letting go of all that does not serve you.

Pamela Jane Gerrand, whose angelic vocals some of you have experienced at our Boat Party of 2017, will be taking us on a journey to our undefended heart with her original songs and tone poems, toning, sounding and singing, culminating in a sound bath with crystal bowls, koshi chimes, buffalo drum and the seraphic sounds of channeled soul singing.

Come and be embraced by the exquisite energy medicine of music and sound offered with healing intention, amplified by the light and radiance of the November full moon.
