Join us for one of the best camp experiences in South Florida! We are excited to partner with Island Water Sports for Island Camps, Winter Road Rage. Campers are dropped off in the morning, 8:30am-9:00am, then head to a local skatepark for skateboarding and other activities, then get picked up in the afternoon, 3:00pm-3:30pm. Our skate camps are great for ages 6-16. Junior counselors, ages 16-18, can also participate.
Island Camps has over 25 years of experience. We are proud to offer skate school sessions in Boca Raton. These convenient camps allow kids to have a summer camp experience right in their backyard.
Skate camp caters to all skill levels. The first day of camp we introduce campers to skateboarding basics & safety. After a few hours, we start to incorporate tricks and games into the camp activities. For the campers that are experienced, we have very knowledgeable staff that can teach them how to progress in their skateboarding skills.
Daily Camp Activities:
When we aren't skating or weather prevents us from hitting the park, we incorporate skate videos and indoor activities, as well as, classic games like paddleboarding, surfing, kickball, dodgeball and tag into our days. Each Friday we will have special activities like Create-A-Skate, Video Editing, screen printing, and more.
Our skate camp focuses on everything from learning the basics of skateboarding to perfecting your style. But learning does not stop there, we work with the long-running
Create-A-Skate program to make learning science, design, engineering and math through skateboarding. During these weeks, camps will learn as they design their very own skateboard deck that they take home at the end of the week. Campers will also learn skills like photography, videography, video editing, graphic design, art and screen printing.
