Event description

Description

In order to bring some warmth back into these cold winter months, Robin Hills Farm will be offering a "Winter Seminar Series," consisting of free seminars that fall under the umbrella of philosophy, sustainability, and wellness. Seminars will cover a variety of topics, from nonviolence to permaculture (and everything in between). This year's series will be on select Mondays throughout the winter, from 6:30-8pm. All seminars are FREE and OPEN to the public.

Have you been thinking about raising chickens in your backyard? You can provide your family with fresh eggs, meat and loads of fun with a small flock of your own. Come to Robin Hills Farm to learn the ins and outs of keeping a small flock of birds happy and healthy in your own backyard. We will discuss the basics, from breed selection, housing, nutritional needs and allocating time for chores. We will spend some time with the chickens at Robin Hills Farm, as well as looking at examples of different set ups for small flocks. You will have the option to pre-purchase a pasture raised chicken, through joining our Chicken Share.

This class is designed for beginners, but all level of chicken experts are welcome.
