At NCCS, we believe in the power of life-long learning! Our IGNITE program caters to learners of all ages. Come join us - and learn something new!


Holiday Wreath Workshop - Wednesday, December 7th (4:00 - 6:00pm)

Join us for a holiday wreath making workshop with Jackie of Tierra Blooms. You'll be provided with materials and instruction to make a wreath about 18" in diameter, perfect for a front door or other place in your home. We'll have lots of interesting materials available to personalize and make your wreath unique! Adults and Children 12 and older. (Fee $30)



Lego Club - Mondays, January 9 - February 13 (3:30 - 4:30pm)

Explore and enjoy building with Legos as we create based on a “theme of the week.” At the end of the club, each student will have created a booklet with pictures of all of his/her creations. All Legos are supplied. Ages 5-10. (Fee: $30)



Introduction to Rocketry - Tuesdays, January 10 - February 7 (3:30 - 4:35pm)

Enter the wonderful world of rocketry as you create and launch your own rocket from a kit. The class will also cover principles of flight and design. Aside from constructing individual rockets, the class will experiment with simple rockets made from household materials. Ages 10 and up. (Fee: $60)



Handmade Gifts - Mondays, December 6, 13 & 20 (3:30 - 4:30pm)

Make interesting and useful gifts to give for birthdays or holidays or to keep for yourself. All materials included. Ages 5-14. (Fee: $36)



Introduction to Pastels - Tuesdays, January 3-31 (3:45 - 4:45pm)

If you want to strengthen your art skills, or simply enjoy creating, this class is for you. In this class, you will learn basic drawing and pastel techniques. The fee includes all materials which students will keep at the conclusion of the class. Ages 9-14. (Fee: $60)



Percussion Ensemble- Fridays, December 2- May 19 (7:30 - 8:15am)

This group is for those with a true desire to develop their percussion skills and learn all about percussion instruments, while being part of a team. Participants must have a true desire to learn, and be committed to practice on their own outside of class time. The group will also perform out in the community from time to time. Cost includes instruction, sticks, and a t-shirt. There will be opportunity for interested members to continue with the group after the May 19 conclusion. Open to all ages with true desire to learn and participate. (Fee: $240 for the year, payable in one, two, or three installments. )



American Sign Language - Mondays, February 9, 16, 23, March 9 & 16

If you’ve wanted to learn American Sign Language, here’s your opportunity. In this class, you will learn many conversational signs in order to communicate through sign language. Ages 8 and up. (Fee: $40)



Paint Lab - Thursdays, January 19, 26, February 2, 9, 16

NCCS Jazz Ensemble - Mondays, January 9- April 10

We are looking for individuals who have scale knowledge, the ability to read chord symbols (piano and guitar), and a desire to learn, to join us! Gain experience in improvisation, chord progressions and key changes. Open to all ages! Open to trombone, saxophone, flute, drums, clarinet, keyboards/piano, & guitar. All ages. Circus Stars - Thursdays, January 19, 26, February 2, 9, 16

Come join the Circus! Come learn from performers in the Davey Kids Circus how to perform amazing circus skills and clown routines. Children will develop hand-eye coordination, balance, agility, self-esteem, and performance skills while learning to juggle, walk a tightwire, spin plates, walk rolling globe, perform clown gags and more! The development of circus skills translates to physical fitness, body awareness, teamwork, focus, and concentration skills. We will hold a mini circus on the last week where the students will perform a display of skills. Ages 8 and up. (Fee: $50)
