Event Details

Winter is an exciting and magical time in Gatlinburg, as millions of LED lights are switched on throughout the beautiful resort city on Wednesday, November 13 at the 24th annual Gatlinburg Winter Magic Kickoff and Chili Cookoff.
Set for 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the downtown Parkway, the Chili Cookoff will feature area restaurants, attractions, civic groups, retailers, banks, and public service agencies serving thousands of cups of chili as each participating group competes for a variety of awards.

The entertainment this year is Natalie Stovall & The Drive. Whether it’s Natalie Stovall’s breathtaking vocals and larger-than-life stage presence, her band’s turbo-charged, take-no prisoners live shows, or the collective unit’s barnstorming worldwide tours, Natalie Stovall and The Drive prove they are arena ready. A humble, charismatic entertainer with a trademark lion’s mane of big blonde hair, Natalie and her powerful vocals and sparkling fiddle leave audiences spellbound. - See more at:

Those attending are encouraged to vote for their favorite chili. These votes will be tallied to award the coveted People’s Choice Award to the most popular chili. A panel of judges will cast their votes for other awards, including: Best Presentation, Best Chili Apron, and Best Chili.
Excitement will really heat up with the popular hot-chili eating contest during the event. Contestants will consume chili with increasing levels of heat as the competition progresses.
