Winter Jr. Rangers

Join Jefferson County Open Space rangers, naturalists, and cultural historians for a fun-filled wintery adventure. Enjoy engaging activities, a guided hike, and campfire.
All ages (most appropriate for ages 4 -11 yrs.)
Most of this program will be outdoors on potentially snowy/muddy trails. Please dress accordingly, including warm winter jackets, hats and gloves, snow pants, snow or warm hiking boots, warm socks, etc.
If you would like to register a group, please have each family register separately. Please limit your registration to no more than 2 adults per family.
Share the fun! If this program does not get a minimum of 20 children participants registered by 12 pm January 24th it will unfortunately be canceled. So, invite your friends and neighbors for some exciting winter activities.
Registration for this program opens at 9:00 AM one month before the date of the program. If you are registering during this time, but space is no longer available, please call Lookout Mountain Nature Center at 720-497-7600 to be placed on a waiting list.

Jefferson County Open Space was founded as a land conservation organization in 1972. Its mission is to preserve land, protect park and natural resources, as well as provide healthy nature-based experiences. Funded with a one-half of one percent sales tax, the agency contributes to city and recreation district projects and manages 44,613 acres, 28 regional parks, and 230 miles of trails in Jefferson County, Colorado.
