Winter Holiday Creative Camps
Dec 23nd - Jan 2nd 8:30-3 or 5:15
Register your child for a week of creativity at the ONE Arts Center or sign up for just the days you need! We will spend our days making sculptures, painting, practicing drama, story telling, dancing, and having a lot of adventures. These are days focused on fun, and all the different ways an artist can express themselves. Bring snowpants, if it's not too cold, we'll head to a playground after lunch! Extend care to 5:15pm for an additional $20 per child! Please pack lunch and a drink. Snacks will be provided. Please also pack a change of clothes. After signing up here, please fill out the online registration form at www.OneArtsCenter.com to provide us with important allergy and emergency information for your child.
Daily rates: $60 per child, $50 for Members, and $30 siblings
Weekly rate (5 days Dec 26th-30th): $250
Extended care available for an additional $20 per day, $10 siblings
Dec 23: World Explorers- Make sure you pack your passport for today's adventure! Join your tour guide, Mellisa, as you explore artifacts from some of the 25 countries she's been too, create a globe, and even learn some Czech language!
Dec 26th: Find Nemo and Dory! Let's dive into the sea and explore a whole new world! Using a variety of sea artifacts, students will create fish themed sculptures and paintings.
Dec 27th: Graffiti Arts: (weather dependent)- make sure to pack your snow suit! students will tour the Old North End and down to Church Street and explore the rich street art of Burlington. Upon returning to the center, students will think about what is important to them and illustrate it through graffiti! Please pack a couple of bucks for hot chocolate at lake champlain chocolate!
Dec 28th: Minecraft- leave your electronics at home, cause we're doing live action Minecraft! Using a variety of materials, students will create their own 3-D Minecraft world. Don't know about Minecraft? That's okay! Today's for everyone!
Dec 29th: Lighten up! Today we're exploring simple electronics and how artists incorporate lights into their art. Students will make art using a variety of simple lights, batteries and wires.
Dec 30th: New Year’s Party! Ring in the New Year with glow lights, a count down, and projects that review the past year and look ahead to the new!
Jan 2nd: Space! Let’s blast off to another planet! We’ll explore Mars, make a solar system and maybe even meet some aliens!
