Winter Ecology Walk and Exploration
Sunday, February 5, 2012 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM (EST)
On Sunday, February 5th at 1 p.m. join Cary Institute educators for a walk along snow-covered trails and an afternoon of family-friendly eco-explorations.
While bears hibernate and chipmunks sleep there are signs of life on the grounds of the Cary Institute. Put on your hat, boots, and snowshoes. Together we will discover animal tracks, plant adaptations, cold-weather insects, ice bell formations, and the wonders of winter survival.
The walk will begin in our auditorium parking lot, located at 2801 Sharon Turnpike (Rte. 44) in Millbrook, N.Y. In the event of severe weather, the program will be cancelled. For more information call Pam Freeman at (845) 677-7600 x 121.
