Event description

Description

For many, winter is a time of gloom and freezing weather. A time when plants and animals alike go dormant and await the release of Spring to begin anew. For Angelenos, the months of December-February is less frigid conditions and more of a concept. To celebrate the transformative season Obscure House presents their inaugural show and pop-up group exhibition, Winter Dream. Using symbols of winter, the show brings artists together as they process all the events of 2017 and prepare for renewal in the next year.

The exhibition will explore themes of stagnation, reflection, the necessity for growth, and weather through paintings, prints, and photos from Los Angeles-based contemporary artists. Obscure House will debut an interactive installation with an oracle inside that will guide visitors into their next phase in life.

With the holiday season in mind, all artwork on display will be priced under $500 providing a perfect opportunity to purchase a gift for a loved one (or yourself).

Refreshments for the evening will be graciously provided from the exhibition sponsor, Jagermeister.
