This is a one time class, running Sunday January 15, 5PM-7PM.
For any cyclist who refuses to hang up their bike for the winter: this workshop will get you ready with an overview of winter riding and how to prepare for it, as well as the opportunity to exchange information with other four-season riders.
The instructor will introduce students to winter riding via highlights of riding gear that will help you get started, as well as demonstrate how winter riding will affect your bike and provide tips and pointers to keep you rolling all winter long.There will be time for discussion exchanging of stories about winter adventures with perils and pitfalls to avoid as well as achievements to unlock: something for riders of every level.
Students will leave this workshop with a foundation of knowledge to fine tune their biking for the coming winter climate.
Students must be at least 18 years of age.
The instructor will have several bikes setup for winter riding and winter bike gear for demonstration and discussion. If you would like to bring your bike to follow along with hands on: please do!
This class will not run with fewer than 3 students, so sign yourself and a friend up!
eXceSs is a lifelong cyclist, Action Nerd, and pilot of SCUL (the Asylum's resident bicycle chopper gang). He continually hones his maintenance skills on the battle-damaged SCUL fleet, while maintaining his own, ever growing collection of outlandish bicycles. When not on two wheels eXceSs can be found wearing orange, working on computers, using strange capitalization, and teaching parkour.
